SALARY c £18,000 (depending on experience)

We require a Marketing and Promotions Worker (20 hours per week) to join our team on a fixed term contract to 31 March 2021. The post holder will develop our public profile and market the service.

In particular we would wish you to coordinate and design promotional material and distribute it widely throughout Shetland through on line and offline channels. The Advocacy service gives a voice to those who for a variety of reasons are on the margins of society and feel that their views are not being heard or listened to, for example clients with mental health, learning disability and autism issues.

Effective verbal, communication and presentation skills and a good level of computer literacy are required. A full clean driving licence and a car for use at work are essential.

Proven work experience in communication, marketing or promotions is essential and a relevant qualification is desirable.

An understanding of health and social issues within a local Shetland context is desirable as is an understanding of how to identify and support the hard to reach and those most vulnerable in our society.
