It took Gbemisola Ikumelo a good few weeks to get her head around her two Bafta nominations. “Every win I get, as a black woman, I question,” she says over Zoom. “If I’m successful at something I’m made to think it’s because black is ‘in’ right now. There is this sort of weird impostor-syndrome beast you have to fight within and go, ‘Hey, I’ve worked blooming hard over the years, and I deserve to be here.’”
