TOURISM NI has launched a programme designed to help experience providers and attractions to enhance their websites and sell their services online.
The programme, which will remain open until August 21, will help to provide technical advice to enhance providers’ portals and produce a website development plan.
And it will fund up to 80 per cent towards the eligible costs of implementing those plans, up to a maximum of £40,000 for any single project.
The funds is coming jointly from the Department for the Economy and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, whose ministers Diane Dodds and Edwin Poots were on hand to help launch the initiative.
Tourism NI’s director of product development Rosemarie McHugh said: “The website development programme comes at a critical period for many tourism businesses across Northern Ireland.
“The programme will help create positive first impressions and an improved booking experience, in line with the new Northern Ireland – Embrace A Giant Spirit experience brand.
“The fund will cover a wide range of support to improve digital presence and help deliver increased bookings and revenue for tourism businesses.”
