DEAR EDITOR:
I’ve been a Washington football fan for more than 50 years. I am completely against this ridiculous move. The name was actually an honor to Native Americans. With the moves the NFL is making, I believe they’re going down the drain. I hope they go bankrupt. Personally, I’ll never root for the Washington team again, no matter what they rename it. I’m sure I am not the only one who feels this way, but I won’t be watching any NFL games this fall — or ever.
I’ll watch college football, unless they decide to change their mascots’ names.
