BEDFORD — The Wall That Heals, a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will be on display in Bedford from
The Wall That Heals Bedford County is scheduled to arrive at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, with an escort bringing home the names of Bedford and surrounding county veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice defending America, according to Bedford County Commissioner Josh Lang. The Bedford County wall will be located at 440 E. Watson St.
Visitors will have 24-hour access to the wall during its stay. A closing ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26.
A ceremony honoring all Vietnam Veterans who served will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 25.

Included in The Wall That Heals Bedford County promotions is an 11-minute video that includes two interviews with local Vietnam veterans, Bill Wertz of Bedford and Bill Mock of Pleasantville, and what The Wall coming to Bedford means for them, as well as additional information about The Wall.
